Original printed recruiting broadside dated January 31, 1901, boldly headed “WANTED! For the United States Army, Able-Bodied Men of Good Character.” Issued in the aftermath of the Spanish-American War and during the Philippine–American conflict, the poster details enlistment qualifications and benefits for new recruits. The text further promises rations, clothing, and medical attendance in addition to pay, and highlights opportunities for advancement to noncommissioned ranks.

Measures 9” x 11.5”. It has light age toning, scattered creases, and small edge chips; overall fine condition and well-preserved.
