"Vailima" Samoa Note Signed by Robert Louis Stevenson to his co-writer in Samoa H.J. Moors. The check is dated October 1,1892 and is in the amount of 9 shillings. Both the check and signature in fine condition. 3.25”x 5” inches in size.
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894)
Wrote many poems and stories but is best remembered for his novels. Suck as A Childs Garden of Verses (1885),Treasure Island (1883),
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide (1886), Kidnapped (1886), and Master of Ballantrae (1889). Robert Louis Stevenson died of a stroke on December 3,
1894, at his home in Vailima, Samoa. He was buried at the top of Mount Vaea, overlooking the sea.
