Aviation History: Aviatrix Leather Flying Cap Signed by Orville Wright and Others. Leather flying cap owned and worn by Frances Louise Jackson of Woodbury, New Jersey. She served in the army and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. The cap is signed by Orville Wright, William P. McCracken, Jr. (the first licensed U.S. pilot), Clarence M. Young (Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Aeronautics 1929-1938), Clyde Pangborn (1894-1958), Jack Wright (an Australian pilot), Glen Curtiss (very light) and one other (last name appears to be Brock). The Orville Wright signature is a little light, but totally legible. The cap is accompanied by a snapshot photo of Jackson in her pilot uniform plus her military dog tag. Great Item
