This is an unusual Broadside approved by Washington and Adams. There are 2 Acts addressed in the broadside by the Third Congress, one is for the restitution of duties for French imported Coffee which was destroyed in a fire in the port of Baltimore.
The other is a supplement of an act to provide defense in that the port and harbor of the city of Annapolis be fortified, in such manner and at such time or times, as the President of the United States ......& to employ a garrison in the said fortification, provide cannon and equipment, and receive from the state of Maryland..lands on which the said fortification and it’s necessary buildings, may be erected...
