An extremely rare document signed “T. Monk”, a business check issued by the Village Music Company, New York, March 25, 1977 making a $11.00 payment to Monk. Boldly signed on the back of the check. The Village Music Company was owned by Sid Prosen, a discoverer of Hank Williams and Simon and Garfunkle, and was a major East Coast jazz promoter.
