Paul Robeson was a noted African-American singer and lecturer and is remembered for his portrayal of Othello and Emperor Jones. He became a social activist, including associations with the NAACP. Includes: 1) A signed envelope, "Paul Robeson, co-signed by "Lawrence Brown." In red crayon, upper left is written "Hotel Bethlehem, 2nd Annual Charter Night Dinner, Nov. 28, 1947." Good condition; 2) Loose pages from the Second Annual Charter Night program, Friday, November 28, 1947. On a biography & photo page, Paul Robeson signed "Paul Robeson;" co-signed by Lawrence Brown; 3) Othello, The Moor of Venice program, starring Paul Robeson, Jose Ferrer, Uta Hagan. Nice condition.
