New Orleans Canal & Banking Compy- 3 Uncut Sheets of $10, $20, $100

The bank opened in 1831 and remained in business, surviving several wars and financial dislocations, until 1933 when its descendant was placed in liquidation. The bank's former directors and officers opened the National Bank of Commerce within ninety days of that liquidation, with that bank now part of the present-day First Commerce Corporation. The notes that comprise the 3 uncut sheets have differing depictions. Years of cutting sheets to provide single notes have undoubtedly taken their toll on the number of sheets remaining.
