When Muhammad Ali came out of his forced retirement for refusing military induction, his first fight was in Atlanta against tough "Irish" Jerry Quarry, and Ali stopped Quarry to start his comeback. Offered is an historic two-page letter agreement for the proposed fight with Quarry on October 26, 1970. Dated September 8, 1970, this agreement has bold signatures of Muhammad Ali and Sports Action President Michael Malitz, as well as a stamped signature of Ali attorney Chauncey Eskridge. The typed agreement is on McCoy, Ming & Black stationery and is in overall Excellent condition. A historic document from the second phase of the career of the man known simply as "The Greatest."
