Signer of the U.S. Constitution from Pennsylvania (1749–1822) who also ran unsuccessfully as the Federalist vice-presidential candidate in the 1812 election. Partly-printed DS, signed “Jared Ingersoll, Atty Genl,” one page DS, 8.25" x 12", November 11, 1815. This document is an indictment that he signed as attorney general against Henry Clarke for stealing items owned by an Israel Grosvenor. The document's top portion is detached, and there is some staining in slight discoloration but does not affect the signature which is in good condition.
