Handwritten and signed letter by the great inventor and Nobel prize winner. Letter in Italian, signed “G. Marconi,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 6.25 x 7.5, Le Grand Hotel, Rome letterhead, September 19, no year. Untranslated letter mentioning Pisa. Encapsulated in a Mylar sleeve. In very good condition, with significant stains throughout, areas of paper loss affecting a few words, light foxing, and silking on the reverse for reinforcement. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
Guglielmo Giovanni Maria Marconi, 1st Marquis of Marconi FRSA ( 25 April 1874 – 20 July 1937) was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer, known for his creation of a practical radio wave based wireless telegraph system.This led to Marconi being credited as the inventor of radio, nd he shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics with Karl Ferdinand Braun "in recognition of their contributions to the development of wireless telegraphy
