Grover Cleveland signed typed letter, Princeton, dated March 28, 1903, addressed to Miss Crosby, thanking her for her book of poems with her likeness and autograph. Fannie Crosby was an American mission worker, poet, lyricist and composer as well as one of the most prolific hymnists in history, includes the original envelope, 7 3/4" x 7 5/8".
Frances Jane van Alstyne (née Crosby; March 24, 1820 – February 12, 1915), more commonly known as Fanny Crosby, was an American mission worker, poet, lyricist, and composer. She was one of the most prolific hymnists in history, writing more than 8,000 hymns and gospel songs,[1][2] with more than 100 million copies printed, despite being blind from shortly after birth.She is also known for her teaching and her rescue mission work.
