Two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning Italian American composer (1911–2007) best known for such popular operas as The Consul, The Saint of Bleecker Street, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. In 1977, he founded the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, South Carolina, is one of the world's major performing arts festivals. Rare AMQS, ink and signature are faded but clearly visable.
