General Mark Clark, WWII Patch Display Heavy cardboard display, 12" x 10", with four mounted patches described as "Patches Worn by General Mark Clark". Each is described: "5th Army, Italy" "15th Army Group, Italy" "U.S. Forces, Austria" "Army Forces, Far East" Clark signs at bottom as "Mark W. Clark / Commander in Chief, Far East Command and United Nations Command". A great display set of signed items incorporating all of the major patches worn by MARK CLARK (1896-1984), the American general who commanded the landings at Salerno and Anzio against the forces of F/M Albert Kesselring. This would date this piece to sometime during the Korean War, after Clark had replaced Matthew Ridgway. Some surface soiling and toning, and corner tip bumps, else very good
