Extremely rare portion of an ALS that contains over 25 words in her hand as well as the signature of Benjamin Franklin's wife, Deborah Franklin. The ALS fragment is 2" x 8". 1 tear minutely affects the "D" of the signature otherwise a fine and almost unobtainable signature of his wife who died in 1774.  Mounted on a sheet that identifies the signer. Scattered light stains with bold ink. 

Deborah Read Franklin (c. 1708 – December 19, 1774) was the common-law wife of Benjamin Franklin, polymath and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.
