Daniel Morgan (1736-1802) Daniel Morgan (1736 – July 6, 1802) was an American pioneer, soldier, and United States Representative from Virginia. One of the most gifted battlefield tacticians of the American Revolutionary War, he later commanded troops during the suppression of the Whiskey Rebellion. Part of a Handwritten and signed letter, along with a portrait engraving of Morgan by JFFPrud'Homme after a drawing by J. Herring after Col. Trumbull's sketch.
