Picture postcard (view in color of the Miraflores Locks, Panama Canal), addressed by Lindbergh as a boy to Master Alex Johnson, R.F.D. 3 Little Falls, Minnesota, U.S.A., and signed "Charles" in the message portion. The stamp was removed, but most of the Canal Zone postmark is visible (1911). Somewhat worn and soiled, but very satisfactory, and the earliest example of Lindbergh's handwriting and signature as a 9-year-old boy. From the famous Dr. John K. Lattimer Collection who was a personal friend of Lindbergh.

Also included is a seating list for the " Spirit of St. Louis" Dinner held at Waldorf Astoria, New York on May 20, 1977. Attendees included Walter Cronkite, John K. Lattimer, and of course Lindbergh himself. Also, an unsigned photo of Lindbergh next to the Spirit of St.Louis, on the back an annotation is written "Given to Dr. John K. Lattimer by Lindbergh."

Charles Lindbergh (February 4, 1902 – August 26, 1974) was an American aviator and military officer. On May 20–21, 1927, he made the first nonstop flight from New York City to Paris, a distance of 3,600 miles (5,800 km), flying alone for 33.5 hours. Lindbergh's aircraft, the Spirit of St. Louis, was designed and built by the Ryan Airline Company specifically to compete for the Orteig Prize for the first flight between the two cities. Although not the first transatlantic flight, it was the first solo transatlantic flight and the longest at the time by nearly 2,000 miles (3,200 km). It became known as one of the most consequential flights in history and ushered in a new era of air transportation between parts of the globe.
