Charles Dickens handwritten letter and Desirable hand-addressed and signed envelope. Letter dated Thursday, 10 October 1867, the Stationary printed address is "Gad's Hill Place, Higham by Rochester, Kent". (ca. 18 x 11 cm), letter says" Mr. Charles Dickens begs Mr.Coulan ? to send him down at once to Higham Station two boxes of usual cigars , 4.75 x 2.75, addressed by Dickens to “Edward Fraser Esquire,26 Craven street, Strand, ,” and signed by Dickens in the lower left, “Charles Dickens.”. In fine condition, signature a little light in the beginning, but completely legible with light soiling. 4.75 x 2.75"
