DS November 3rd 1783 signed as governor “Benj Harrison. Appointing John Powell as Justice of the Peace. Does have dark toning, and some seprations , but signature is dark and bold. Benjamin Harrison: Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Virginia (1726-1791). Harrison was the father of President William Henry Harrison and great-grandfather of President Benjamin Harrison.
