This photo is signed "Arthur Sullivan Leeds 1898" Arthur Sullivan, a British composer (1842–1900) best known for his collaborations on more than a dozen classic comic operas with librettist W. S. Gilbert, including H.M.S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, and The Mikado. Fine photograph of this great composer.
